7/23/2010 Import Customer Service Representative Houston, TX Import COSCO has an opening in the Houston office for an experienced Import Customer Service Representative.

General Functions and Key Activities:

All phases of customer phone inquiries including tracking, tracing and pickup number releases. Handle e-mail and fax correspondence with internal and external customers. Assist consignee with manifest discrepancies including rates with overseas. Process General Order. Monitor IPI rail and depot storage reports. Provide Courtesy Notice to consignee for undelivered imports. Monitor various reports for discrepancies in notification to customers to prevent delays in cargo movement. Liaison with Intermodal department and customers to resolve issues related to “Door” movements. Monitor Overdue Imports containers to expedite return of empty equipment. Create Job Orders to process payment for services. Monitor Third Party Collections for IPI cargo prior to release.

Additional Qualifications or Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of Import Customer Service and the regulations that govern such. Various computer systems and software knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products, customer service, phone, email and organizational skills.

This is a commercial entry position to Inside Sales and Marketing.

COSCO the worlds second largest Ocean Shipping company has the following job opening.

Business Development Team

Understanding COSCO’S weekly strengths, as COSCO changes, the BDT people change firstly and direct the sales staff, services, revenue, volume, policies.

Constant review of stats to help secure cargo to maximize moving containers from US surplus areas to overseas. Identify accounts then disseminate to sales teams.

Constant review of stats to help make sure the sales people are also calling on the correct account base to meet the COSCO needs. Work with sales preplans.

Working the East Bound Stats to make sure that sales are approaching the most logical accounts within their regions.

Work with the West Bound pricing people to make sure that cargoes identified in the stats are all positive generating commodities to meet the WB pricing guidelines.

Prequalify and develop new accounts when possible to commitments materialize we will transition to the sales team around 50 TEU or greater.

Prepare lifting reports and presentations for top accounts.

Have the ability to create professional presentations for sales people when targeting key accounts.

Be well versed in Access, Excel, PPT, Word.

Training for people with the aptitude to learn.

An interest in Marketing to help push our brand forward.

Must have at least 3 years of ocean related experience in Transpacific Eastbound Service and in an in-depth knowledge of the PNW Market.
